A decade since the initiation of the Court Users Committee (CUC) concept and three years since their institutionalization through the judicial services act, the CUC as a vehicle for inclusive justice administration has indeed travelled a distance. Judicial officers as the drivers of CUC at their stations have been equally adept to ensure that they function as is intended. Progressively, there has been a marked improvement in the administration of justice in the republic amidst some challenges.
It is against this background that the Kenya Women Judges Association – working with the UNFPA conducted a Court User Committee Monitoring and Evaluation exercise in four Court Stations of Nairobi West, Migori, Kilifi and Naivasha. This report provides the proceedings of a three day CUC monitoring and evaluation reporting workshop meeting held at the BOMA hotel, Nairobi, Kenya.
